Transformation of Canvas Texture
Park Seo-Bo’s work transcends the limitations of traditional painting by physically altering the canvas itself. For example, he scrapes the surface or creates creases to give the canvas a three-dimensional quality. Through this method, he creates a unique artistic expression that blurs the boundaries between painting and sculpture. This innovative approach redefines the way the canvas is perceived, expanding the possibilities of visual art.
By reinterpreting Park Seo-Bo’s artistic technique in spatial design, we aimed to blur the boundaries between architecture, art, and sculpture, creating a truly immersive and innovative space. By translating his method of physically altering the canvas into the realm of spatial design, we can explore ways to manipulate materials, surfaces, and forms to craft dynamic and engaging environments.
